Dig Into Gardening
We're exploring great books about gardening this week! This post contains affiliate links. This is a blog hop to encourage reading and literacy, along with some great bloggers:
The Usual Mayhem
Growing Book by Book
Frogs & Snail & Puppy Dog Tails
Edventures with Kids
Here are the books we borrowed from the library this week:
If there's a Magic School Bus book about it, my son wants to read it!
This one is really more of a fall book, but we just couldn't resist Tomie DiPaola's illustrations!
What better way to get reluctant kids to eat their veggies?! My kindergarten sidekick is hoping we move soon enough for him to plant a pizza garden now.
This book has 12 great ideas for themed gardens that will appeal to kids!
This book explores healthy eating by encouraging the children to eat the food they grow themselves. It'd be a great go-along with a nutrition unit.
This one is self explanatory and my 12 year old was really interested. She's now spirited it up to her room to read though the whole thing. It covers more than just basic planting and decorating.
This book includes the seeds (except that in our library book they'd already been removed). What a great idea - open the paper, plant the seeds, and grow a butterfly-friendly garden while reading the book!
21 indoor and outdoor projects for age 7 and up. We liked this one so much I've ordered it!
